We had a wonderful time in the Lord with Jeri & Larry Mercer who ministered in song. We thank God for the healing He has provided for Mrs. Jeri, & continue to pray with her until she's restored to full health.
We also had a wonderful time of fellowship, celebrating the 75th & older birthdays from the past quarter, & enjoying a fabulous Fifth Sunday Dinner!

School Supply Give-Away Coming Soon
Our School Supply Give-Away is just a little over a week away and we couldn't be more excited!
Each year, this event grows a little more and we're so thankful for our friends near and far who stop by to fill up a backpack for the school- and college-aged kids in their homes. In the past four years, we've met kids who attend public schools, private schools, and home school. We've filled up back-packs for many of the public schools in Onslow County and quite a few Duplin County schools too. We can hardly wait to see who we'll meet this year!
Friends, share this post far and wide--we'll give out backpacks and school supplies beginning at 9:00 AM for as long as they last. Everyone is welcome.
Church members, it's not too late to donate. Forward all school supply donations to Dana Gurganus. Monetary donations should be forwarded to Krista Horne (please make checks payable to Springfield Ladies' Auxiliary). And, don't forget to join us for the fun on Saturday morning.

The Champions!
History was made!
Congratulations to the Springfield PFWB Church Youth who competed in last Saturday's Cardboard Boat Regatta. It was a sweep of the top two spots in the Grade 5 & Under Division. Kamrey & Karley Watkins won first place, while Chloe Bryan & Colton Rich won second place. Kamrey & Karley are the first girls to ever win this cardboard boat race.
Thank you to the parents & youth leaders who supported boat construction. And a HUGE thank you to the many friends & family who came out to cheer for our race teams. Keep scrolling to see pictures from the race.

We're Breaking Tradition: Homecoming 2018
We're breaking tradition!
For as long as most of us can even remember, we've always held our annual Homecoming celebration on the fourth Sunday of September & we'll get back to that tradition soon enough. However, in 2018, there are five Sundays in September & we are also a church who celebrates fifth Sunday fellowship dinners. So, for 2018, we'll celebrate Homecoming on the fifth Sunday, September 30.
Mark your calendars & alert those who journey homeward for our annual celebration. For this year, we'll see you on the fifth Sunday in September.

Why do we bother with registration? Because the safety of your children is our priority. We need your help to promote safety by providing emergency contacts, information regarding allergies, & clear instructions regarding who can pick up your children.
