"...I am doing a great work and I cannot come down" (Nehemiah 6:3).

Like Nehemiah, we are called as Christians who comprise the body of Christ to do a great work in His name.  We cannot turn aside, cannot succumb to hindrances, cannot fade in the face of opposition, and cannot be enticed by distractions.  Resisting against every "weight, and sin which clings so closely," will you join us in the prayer of Nehemiah, asking "But now, O God, strengthen my hands" (6:9)?  We believe the promises of Scripture in response to such a bold prayer:  "He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

Thoughts for the Journey

And then you

...We yield because you, beyond us, are our God.
We are your creatures met by your holiness,
by your holiness made our true selves.
And we yield.  Amen.
