Encouragement for the Day

IMG_4876.JPG

But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, you Savior.

…Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you… (Isaiah 43:1-4).

Modified Gathering Plans due to COVID-19 Precautions

Modified gathering plans per the Springfield PFWB Church Deacon Board:

  • For the next two weeks (March 18-April 1), all church activities except for Sunday morning worship will be canceled.

  • This includes Sunday school, choir practice, youth ministry gatherings, all evening services, fifth Sunday dinner, and any other church gathering outside of the 11 am Sunday morning service.

  • Keeping in mind the recommendations and executive orders issued for prevention of COVID-19 spread, the church will be open on Sunday morning at 11 am for those who choose to gather, at their individual discretion.

  • As new information becomes available, these meeting plans may be further updated.

During this time of reduced gathering, resources are available to help you lead worship within your own homes and remain connected with our church family.

  • Please visit our Church at Home resource page. There is a handy link right on the home page of our church website so that you can visit often.

  • We are making an intentional effort to focus as many of our distance resources on this page, given the number of church members who are not Facebook/social media users.

  • The page is a work in progress. Content is still being built for at least two of the sections. Please extend a healthy dose of grace while we work to get everything working smoothly.

  • The remaining videos for Better, our Wednesday night study in Hebrews, are posted to the password-protected site. Due to copyright restrictions, this page is password protected and restricted to church members. Please take the time to stay caught up with the weekly review of these sessions.

Above all, stand firm and hold fast to the word of God.

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in the time of need (Hebrews 4:14-16).

Join us for this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza, an afternoon of fun for all ages. Hot dogs, games, & an awesome easter egg hunt await. All are welcome & all activities are free.

Easter is a special holiday for the church as we rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Because He bore our sins upon the cross, died in our place, & was raised to life again, we also have the hope of redemption, forgiveness of sins, & eternal life in Him. Can you think of a better time to celebrate in as many ways as possible?

Bring your eggs to hide & plan for a fun time of fellowship & rejoicing!
